AHA NSW, paired with Entain Australia, is set to launch a stellar digital betting contest across New South Wales pubs. Promotions will include online casinos Ladbrokes and Ned’s offerings, presenting fresh opportunities for pub owners.

John Whelan, the head of AHA NSW, anticipates that this groundbreaking collaboration could usher in numerous benefits for New South Wales hotels: 'For several decades now, many hotels in NSW have faced financial setbacks with their PubTABs, primarily due to steep Sky Channel and EBT costs. This issue is even more pronounced in regional areas. This partnership with Entain, a market leader, promises to introduce competition and choice in the region.’ The hope is that this move will lower expenses, allowing betting terminals to turn a profit for these hotels.

Pubs that decide to embrace this new sponsorship will soon start showcasing advertising for Ladbrokes or Neds within their premises. Despite new sponsorships, these venues will continue to operate Tabcorp wagering machines due to existing licensing agreements. Presently, there are over a thousand NSW hotels with PubTAB facilities, many of which face financial challenges, making this sponsorship particularly appealing.

Dean Shannon, CEO of Entain Australia, is equally enthusiastic about partnering to promote two of Entain's well-known brands (Neds and Ladbrokes): 'Whilst there's still a place for traditional cash wagers, there's an avid crowd who love the social thrill of having a flutter at their local pub, and their preferences are evolving.'   While many fans enjoy wagering with friends over drinks at the pub,a significant portion also appreciates the convenience of online sports betting. This new venture hopes to draw these patrons into Entain's casinos.
